WHAT IS COURSERA FOR REFUGEES?
Coursera is an online platform for anyone to study various courses (language, business, marketing, politics, etc,). It is provided by prestigious universities and other institutions around the world. Coursera for Refugees is being offered for free.- WHO CAN APPLY?
All refugees, persons under subsidiary protection and asylum-seekers in Bosnia and Herzegovina who have an email address and minimal internet connection can apply. - WHAT IS OFFERED BY COURSERA FOR REFUGEES?
Four-to-six-week Basic courses and Specialization courses are both offered for free for refugees, asylum-seekers and persons under international protection. There are no enrollment limits on the number of courses.
You can pass an exam and get a certificate (free in the For Refugees version). The Course Certificate features the course name, instructor signature, the logo of the partner institution
offering the course, a statement attesting to the learner’s confirmed name, and a certification.

Internet is required only to download the course; once you have it downloaded, you can complete it offline. Since there is a Coursera application, mobile phones or tablets are enough
to follow the course. Laptops are not required. At the end of the course, the certificate can be printed out. - HOW CAN I ENROLL?
Send an email to itarocoursera@unhcr.org with your full name and a copy of a document which shows your status. You will soon receive an email invitation to enroll in Coursera.
