Rome: Professional Training Course for Building Structure Operators

Enrolment is now open for the FREE training course for Building Structures Operator

The course aims to train men and women workers with the minimum skills to work on a construction site and specialise in the renovation/maintenance of old and new buildings.

Where?

– Classroom and workshop training activities will take place at the Teresa Gerini Professional Training Centre in Via Tiburtina, 994, 00156 Rome;

– The internship activities will take place at partner companies/bodies in the reference sector.

When?

Course start: May 2024

Course end: October 2024

Duration: the training course lasts 488 hours, of which 128 hours of classroom/laboratory and 360 of in-company internship. Classroom and workshop activities will be held in the afternoon from Monday to Friday.

Deadlines

Applications must be sent in by Thursday 18 April 2024 at 12 noon!

Requirements

– Valid residence permit allowing work activity;

– Be resident or domiciled in Lazio;

– Be 35 years of age or older (preferably up to the age of 48);

– Unemployed or in a state of non-employment;

– Secondary school diploma (for those who have obtained a qualification abroad, it is necessary to present a declaration of value or a corresponding document certifying the level of schooling in accordance with the regulations in force).

– Europass CV;

– Tax code.

Documentation

The candidate must submit to the Secretariat of the Cnos Fap Region

– photocopy of the qualification

– declaration of value or equivalent document certifying the level of schooling (for foreign candidates);

– photocopy of a valid identity document;

– photocopy of the tax code;

– curriculum vitae in European format, dated and signed in original.

Selection and admission to the course

Six trainee(s) will be selected from among those meeting the requirements by means of several tests

– written test; test with 50 multiple-choice questions, for a maximum score of 50/100;

– oral test; individual aptitude and motivational interview, for a maximum score of 15/100;

– evaluation of the curriculum vitae, for a maximum score of 35/100.

Admission to examinations and final certificate

Following successful completion of the final examination, each student will be issued with a certificate of professional qualification of “Building Structure Operator”, referenced to the European Qualification Framework (EQF) level 3.

Attendance and attendance allowance

Attendance at the course is compulsory. A number of hours of absence equal to 20 per cent of the total scheduled hours is permitted. Students who exceed this limit will not be admitted to the final examination.
There is a training and placement grant of € 5.55 per hour for a maximum of € 800.00 per month, which is given according to the number of hours of training and placement carried out each month and which may not go below the 80% threshold, otherwise the grant will not be awarded.

Rome COOK & RESTART: pizzeria and cooking course

COOK & RESTART is a vocational training pathway oriented towards job placement, which is aimed at young migrants – wishing to become protagonists in Italian society – and at companies looking for qualified workers.

Recipients

10 young migrants, men and women, aged between 18 (by the end of 2024) and 35.

Duration

1 month
Course start: 22 April 2024
Course end date: 22 May 2024

Days and times: every weekday from 14:30 to 18:30

Application deadline: 11 April 2024

Admission interviews will take place on 16 and 17 April.

Documentary requirements

– Possession of a residence permit allowing work.

Other requirements

– good knowledge of the Italian language
– strong motivation.

Course venue

at the IPSEOA (Istituto Professionale di Stato per l’Enogastronomia e l’OspitalitàAlberghiera), in the premises at Via di Tor Carbone, 53.

Programme

PIZZERIA COURSE (56 hours). You will learn and practise the basic techniques of this art. Qualified teachers will demonstrate the various phases of pizza-making. Some days will be dedicated to cooking, for the preparation of pizza toppings and some simple dishes;

TRAINING AND THE HACCP CERTIFICATE;

BRIEF TRAINING ON WORKING IN ITALY (12 hours). It will present the principles and values of Italy and notions on contracts and safety, provide a glossary for the kitchen, explain how to look for work in this sector and what are the most in-demand transversal skills. A certificate of participation will be issued at the end.

Parma: Barilla Foundation Cooking School 2024

FONDAZIONE BARILLA NARRATED, IN A TELEVISION PROGRAMME, THE CULINARY TRAINING COURSE FOR YOUNG ASPIRING CHEFS WHERE TEACHING WAS INTEGRATED WITH THE THEMES OF THE ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH, WELLBEING AND THE FIGHT AGAINST FOOD WASTE

In 2024, the project is reconfirmed, this time giving as many as 24 girls and boys from disadvantaged backgrounds, who have a keen interest in cooking and are aged between 18 and 30, the opportunity to attend the training. Unlike in 2023, the second edition will not include a TV programme.

250 scholarships for refugee students, applications open for new edition of university corridors

Call for applications for UNICORE 6.0 will open on the 1st of March, stay tuned!

Universities providing scholarships to refugee students present in Kenya, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The students will be selected to begin degree courses in September 2024, and will be exempt from tuition fees at the universities participating in the programme and will receive financial support for plane tickets and visa-related expenses, as well as a study grant to help them during their stay in Italy.

The selection process for admission will be carried out by and is the sole responsibility of the individual universities. To learn more about the selection criteria please also visit the dedicated page at this link!

Students can submit their applications – along with the required documents – between 1st March and 15th April 2024 at 12:00 p.m.

Some universities might require you to also submit the application through their admission platforms. If this is the case, you will be notified by the university upon submission of the present application form.

It is possible to apply to a maximum of two universities.
