The University of Brussels (ULB) is offering scholarships to refugee students to attend the Odysseus Summer School on ‘EU Immigration Policy and Asylum Law’ in Brussels from 3 to 14 July 2023. Registration, transport, accommodation and living expenses are covered for the duration of the summer school.
The programme is oriented towards the legal world, but is also accessible to non-lawyers, and consists of three parts:
– Introductory courses
– Migration, including visas and borders
– Asylum
Courses include theoretical and practical elements, evening discussions on the latest developments in the new Pact on Migration and Asylum, in particular on the issue of solidarity between Member States, controversial issues such as the responsibility of Frontex, the scope of human rights, etc. All on-site courses are taught separately in English and French (but online in English only).
