The European Temporary Protection Directive Is Approved

NEWS ALERT
As a result of the war in the Ukraine, the European Union has adopted the Temporary Protection
Directive (Directive 55/2001.)
Ukranian citizens, asylum seekers, holders of status of international protection and permanet
residents in that country along with their families will have the right to renewable residence
permit and to the following serv9ces:
Education
Work
Reception
Welfare
Health Care

PLEASE NOTE
Italy has yet to adopt the implementing decree. We will publish the procedures the minute they
become available.
In the meantime be aware that:
It is already possible to stay in Italy for 90 days without a visa or permit (For further

You can request placement in an Extraordinary Reception Center (CAS) and in any of
the centers that are part of the Reception and Integration System (SAI) run by the
individual municipalities (for further information click here.)
